Distance learning is a concept many students struggle with, this mostly arose during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I personally struggled a great deal with it, yet selfishly I enjoyed the ability to turn my computer on, go back to bed, and still get credit for class. For the parts I didn't like, almost everything else. I felt as though I never really learned anything since even when I was paying attention, it felt like I was simply watching a YouTube video. I think by minimizing the amount of lecturing done as a teacher can drastically help with keeping the attention of their students. This keeps them more engaged and more likely to retain and learn the information they are being taught.
OER (Open Educational Resources) are tools of education that can be used and have aspects of their tools extracted from them in order to create new tools. These are free of cost, be it monetary or intellectual cost. The resource I found can be found here, and it provides a base level overview of personal finance and how to save money on a paystub. It is rather short but is well done and explains the importance of taxes and why we must pay them.
I thoroughly enjoyed both PowerPoint assignments, as I have always had fun making presentations and other fun small interactive games such as assignment 5. Making the Jeopardy game was especially fun as it is intended for school children and I remember playing fun, interactive games such as that which really helped me accel because I need to be stimulated in order to learn. I do not know what I would change, but I would have done more transitions/animations as I believe that is an easy way to captivate the attention of your students.
