 I believe one of the key takeaways from learning about assistive technologies is that it should not be viewed as "going the extra mile" to accommodate students who need special assistance. Re put it perfectly, the law requires it so it should be expected just as much as a student who would learn without these technologies. I believe finding assistive technologies and learning them ourselves would be easiest when we become educators to accommodate a student that way you do not have to play catch up as they are trying to learn with the rest of the class. I also think by looking for more options it will help students who can't use the tools provided.  From Diigo, I have learned how to be resourceful with storing and sharing websites/documents. While I regularly use another program that saves documents for me easier, however it does not allow the ability to share documents to a group.  1. I was unable to find any active class pages that did not require a direct login. They all operated through either canvas or a local operating system that required a login even for parents. While I was unable to gain access to them, I spoke to my Aunt who works in administration at River Ridge High School in Tampa, Florida and she said the students and parents have access to a overview of the class and due dates, but parents do not have access to detailed information about grades and assignments. 2. I will use technology to effectively plan out lessons and keep track of student progress. The primary tool I will use is Microsoft Excel and other 365 applications, this will allow me to keep track of student grades outside of the provided applications. This will also help me keep track of students and their behavior in orderly fashion so when and if there are situational issues I will have a database that I can contact parents/legal guardians about.
