1. I was unable to find any active class pages that did not require a direct login. They all operated through either canvas or a local operating system that required a login even for parents. While I was unable to gain access to them, I spoke to my Aunt who works in administration at River Ridge High School in Tampa, Florida and she said the students and parents have access to a overview of the class and due dates, but parents do not have access to detailed information about grades and assignments.
2. I will use technology to effectively plan out lessons and keep track of student progress. The primary tool I will use is Microsoft Excel and other 365 applications, this will allow me to keep track of student grades outside of the provided applications. This will also help me keep track of students and their behavior in orderly fashion so when and if there are situational issues I will have a database that I can contact parents/legal guardians about. A lot of other tools can be used, however I really enjoy excel and have been proficient in it for many years/
3. I really enjoyed the aspect of pretending to have a classroom of people/children to teach. It was fun and engaging as I do enjoy working towards assignments I will one day do as my job. The only thing I disliked was using Weebly, in the past I have used Wix for my team website but I thought it would be good to try something new. In my professional career, I will likely use my own website for class as I can operate it outside of the school operating system (Canvas, etc.)
